The shore excursion to Fengdu was much more touristy than our last stop. There were some amusing 'nasty ghost' statues and scenes of hell in the temples. The guide told me about lots of different superstitions, which didn't interest me very much, so as one of the advantages of having my own guide, I went through the pre-programmed tour very quickly and had her take me around the town while the Germans were still milling around the temples.
