four times a day

I managed to make it through the day without touching the afflicted area during piano lessons. (Its been itching like crazy, and I've been massaging it on the drives, which seems to help) The inflammation is already going down, and the outer ring is no longer notably hotter than my regular body temperature, although the inner part still is. I'm super tired after getting woken up by nightmares and getting up early a few nights in a row, but other than that was doing fine.

When I got home Rob was home, and after a short chat he said that he was off to a get-together, which most of the rest of my house mates were supposed to be at. As soon as I was home alone, my stomach started hurting, which immediately set off a big red "side effect" light in my brain, the first thought being respiratory problems (what all the docs had asked me about when I said I had a spider bite), which I was not having, but then my chest started feeling tight. I imagine the latter was probably psychosomatic, but who knows, its the diaphragm area, which I suppose could be loosely classified in stomach or chest, given that those are the classifications usually used and it's around the dividing of the two halves.

After deciding that I was breathing fine, seeing straight, and too young to be having a heart attack, I checked Cephalexin online and noted that it specified every six hours for four times a day, and that stomach aches are a normal side effect, especially when taken without food, which I had done all three times (on the road to and from the doctors office and lessons) Some meds say take with food, others say best without, and I'd figured that it probably wasn't that important if not specified, given that every other antibiotic I've been given came with a bunch of brightly colored warning labels specifying things not to do, just as I'd figured that as with most things I've taken, if they say four times a day they mean evenly distributed among waking hours.

Dawn decided not to go to the meeting and came home, which makes me feel a lot better, although I'm still feeling rather paranoid and my diaphragm is still feeling tight. I think I'll go take a nap upstairs near where she's hanging out. And set my alarm to take my meds again in 4 hrs instead of 1. Maybe I'll have some yogurt first ;)
